Dark Tales at the Belmont - A Good Witch Bakery Book Club Event
Join us at The Belmont on Wednesday, October 30th, at 6:00 p.m. for a Book Club Event hosted by The Good Witch Bakery!
Your ticket purchase includes a copy of Dark Tales by Shirley Jackson and a sweet treat to enjoy while reading, as well as a themed cocktail or mocktail and appetizers to share at the event, courtesy of The Belmont. We will likely meet for 1-2 hours, depending on the length of our discussion.
Dark Tales is a collection of short stories by Shirley Jackson, the renowned author of The Haunting of Hill House and The Lottery. The stories delve into themes of paranoia, madness, and classic ghostly hauntings. Jackson’s work is often considered "quiet horror," leaning more toward psychological tension than outright scares. So, if you're not a big horror fan or are new to the genre, this could be the perfect starting point to dip your toes in. As this is a collection of short stories, do not stress if you find that you are not able to finish the entire book by the time of the event.
Only 11 tickets are available, so act fast! Important info to follow for those purchasing tickets. Please read all details thoroughly.
